The start of the New Year is a wonderful time to take stock of our past and establish resolutions to improve the year to come.  At Breakthrough in Beauty, we have resolutions as a team, as well as our own personal beauty resolutions to live beautifully ever after.

At Breakthrough in Beauty we resolve to help women cut through the confusion of finding innovative beauty products that actually work.  Women want to be beautiful - with less fuss, less frills, and products that really work.  Our expert team of leading dermatologists, cosmetic chemists and scientists, and beauty consumer experts rigorously researches and evaluates thousands of products - so you don’t have to.  We conduct comprehensive consumer use tests and independent clinical trials to ensure products are safe and effective before granting our seal of approval and recommending them to you.

On a personal note, here are some of my beauty resolutions for the year.

• Sunscreen. Sunscreen. Sunscreen.  It’s so important.  I’d shower in it if I could.  I vow to wear it every day, rain or shine, on my face, hands, neck, arms, and to make sure my family wears it as well.
• Simplify and save.  I resolve to find a way to simplify my makeup routine to save time, find a way to make my manicures last longer so I can get them less often, find a dry shampoo that works so well I can wash my hair once a week, and grow my hair two inches (that may help me save a bit on haircuts).
• De-stress and get beauty sleep.  Treating our bodies well really does make a difference in the way we look and feel.  Otherwise the stressful lines from stores and traffic can show up on our faces. I’d love to visit my favorite spa every other month, meditate to reduce stress, drink more water, use a mask once a week, sleep 8 hours each night as often as possible, and make time for relaxing baths to decompress.
• Discover new looks.  By now, I know what looks good on me and what doesn’t.  But that doesn’t mean I shouldn’t try new things and experiment with new colors, looks, and products. I’m determined to switch up my look quarterly, just to keep it fresh.  I also plan to continue searching for the best foundations out there.  We already sell the best skincare.
